Carl Milton Chapin of McCalla, Alabama was born January 27, 1959, Junction City, Kentucky to Rev. Leonard P Chapin, Sr and Willie Mae(Hyden) Chapin. He went to Heaven with a victorious testimony on May 23, 2023. Carl graduated from Ensley High School in 1977. He is survived by son, Kent Chapin(Ashley), Sammantha Crane(Cody), Tabitha Chapin(fiance Joshua Austin); grandchildren, Drayton Chapin, Rueanna Chapin, Connor Crane, River Crane, Raegan Crane; siblings surviving are Margaret Ellen Allison(Lloyd), Leonard Paul Chapin, Jr., Barbara Hester(Dave). He is also survived by his sweet mother Willie Mae (Hyden) Chapin. He leaves behind a host of cousins, two nieces, one nephew and three uncles, Clarence, Glenn and Robert Chapin. He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Paul Chapin, Sr., brother Eddy H. Chapin and niece Erin Gaston. For 39 years, Carl worked at Hanna Steel retiring as Fairfield Maintenance Manager. His work family grieve his passing. Special thank you to Dr. Cara Bondly and Carl's nurses, Alabama Oncology at St. Vincent, for 6 years of tender loving care to him. Also Compassus and his special nurses Kortney, Stachya and aide Natasha. He endeared himself to all who met him with his sense of humor and gratefulness. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Bible Missionary Church, 361 Pleasant Grove Road. Visitation will be at 10:00AM with the service to follow at 11:00AM. Rev.
