Billie Janell Stone

Billie Janell Stone, of Bessemer, passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 89. She served as a daycare worker for 20 + years at Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Elizabeth Douglas; husbands, Coy Wood and Jack Stone; daughter, Cheryl Wood; granddaughter, Conni McClenny; sister, Thelma Lucille Douglas Martin; bothers, Herbert Prince Douglas, Milton Harold Douglas and Gene Tuney Douglas. She is survived by her son, Michael Wood (Cheryl); daughter, Jackie McBrayer (Roger); grandchildren, David Canant, Rachel Long (Daniel), Natalie Rash (Allen), Andrew Wood (Bridget) and Stephen Wood; six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; sister, Bobby June Love; brothers, Walter Scott Douglas.
