Beverly Ellen Hutchins

Beverly Ellen Hutchins, 77 of Oak Grove, Alabama passed away July 10, 2024.
Beverly was born in Memphis, TN & raised in Fairfield Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harriett & I V Thomas, and her beloved grandson Andrew “Drew” Robertson whom we’re sure met and gave her the biggest hug when she entered the gates of heaven. She leaves behind her husband of more than 61 years, Terry Hutchins, her daughters Tracey (Tommy) Long, Beth (Blaine) Alexander, Sharon Robertson, & her non-biological sister & life-long best friend of more than 70 years, Susan (Jimmie) Crowe. She had a total of 10 grandchildren, Ashley Martin (Benji), Curtis Waldrop (Hannah), Matt Alexander (Morgan), Amanda Ellis (Hayden), Megan Green (Alex), Emily Spradlin (Chase), Drew Robertson, Hunter Long (Natalie), Chase Long, Krista Long and 16 great grandchildren, her friends Ann Clark,Virginia Swift, Lynn Slaughter, her beloved Warrior River Gang, a host of family and friends she loved dearly and loved to travel with.
Beverly met Terry, the love of her life, when she was 14 yrs old. They’ve been married for 61 years & would’ve celebrated 62 in Dec. Beverly lived life to the fullest, she loved traveling, planning parties for others, giving people random gifts after she heard them mention something they liked, she loved people and always made sure no one was alone for holidays if she could help it.
Beverly loved animals, her precious furry friends brought her great joy and comfort, she never turned an animal away & it was obvious how much they loved her.

Family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Wes Baugh officiating.
