Betty Jean East
March 28, 1932 — January 10, 2022
Betty Jean Hogge East, 89 of Hueytown, passed away January 10, 2022. She was longtime member of Wilkes Baptist Church. She loved to bowl and was a member of several leagues at the Bessemer Bowl. She was a member of TOPS and KOPS. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hester Hogge; husband of over 60 years, L.C. East; sisters, Violet McLemore and Libby Troncalli; brothers, Jimmy Hogge and Roy Hogge; and granddaughter, Amanda Allen. She leaves behind her children, Carolyn Allen (Paul), Larry East and Vickie Walker (Johnny); grandchildren, Tonya Bartley, Brent Walker and Colby Walker; great grandchildren, Brook Glaze, J.T. Bartley, Braden Capps, Carter Stephens, Rileigh Walker, Rhett Walker and Talulah Walker; great great grandchildren, Piper, Grey and Penny Glaze and Bryce Bartley; furry friend, Hannah; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 1:00 PM in Forest Hill Cemetery (431 60th St N, 35212).
