Barbara Tice Steele "Bobbye Hyde"

Barbara (Bobbye) Steele Hyde, 60, of Hoover sadly passed away on November 5th of 2023. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 9 1963 to Pat and Bobbie Steele, moved to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 15. She grew up alongside her siblings, and many friends attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was an active member in her church community, babysitting many children, teaching Sunday School, chaperoning dances, and many other activities. She met her husband while attending church and were married in January of 1999. In 2001 they welcomed their first child into the world and adopted their final 2 in 2004, completing their family. Bobbye was an outgoing and fun loving person who was loved by all and loved all that she met. Even as her health started declining she still tried her best to be an active member in her church. She maintained a ‘Pollyanna’ attitude towards life of always being optimistic and grateful for those around her. The family would like to give special thanks to ExpectCare Hospice and their amazing team. Everyone involved in Bobbye's Hospice journey held a special place in her heart and the family cannot thank the teams enough. Bobbye is survived by her husband, Kameron, 3 children, Madilyn (Devon Roth), Hunter, and Kaila (Logan Quinney). Her two siblings, Anne (Steve Anderson and children) and Pat (Allison Steele and children). Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Birmingham Stake Center located at 2780 Altadena Road, Birmingham Alabama 35243 on November 9th 2023. Services will start at 10 am with an hour to visit with family, and at 11am the funeral will start. The funeral will be streamed on Youtube for those who cannot attend. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made towards her daughters missionary fund or a charity of your choice.
