Barbara Ann Montgomery

Barbara Ann Montgomery, of Pleasant Grove, passed away on February 16, 2021 at the age of 80. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years with various companies around the western area of Birmingham. She was a member of Berney Points Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she performed charity work and worked with the Sunbeams. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Minnie Pearl Silas; son, Jeffry Neal Montgomery; and great grandson, Grayson Cole Montgomery. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Neal E. Montgomery; son, Russell L. Montgomery (Rhonda); grandchildren, Michael Montgomery (Brittany), Chelsea Finger (David), Jennifer Hamilton (Jacob), Michele Messer (Ryan), Alexi Wilkins and Bella Wilkins; great grandchildren, Hudson, Emma, Amelia and Reed Hamilton, Olivia, James and Asher Finger, and Abigail Messer, Emery Grace Montgomery and Noah Rogers; brother, Gaines R. Silas (Linda); nephews, Forrest Silas (Jammie); great nephew, Austin Silas; daughter-in-law, Susan Wilkins; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 20. 2021 from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with burial in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. Antone Forunier officiating. Social distancing and masks are required. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Barbara's name to Berney Points Baptist Church (2250 Blue Ridge Blvd Birmingham, AL 35226).
