Angela Kay Prestage
December 18, 1972 — April 3, 2022
Angela K. Prestage, age 49, of Moody, AL. passed away peacefully on April 3, 2022 surrounded by family at St. Vincent’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Angela was born in Rockford, Illinois on December 18, 1972 and was a 1991 graduate of Huffman High School. She worked for BBVA Compass Bank for over 20 years.
Angela was a devout Christian and member of The Gathering Place Church in Moody. She was a loving mother and her boys were her world. Angela was a devoted friend to many people and always put others first. She loved music, dancing, singing, chasing steam trains, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Angie baby, special lady will always be remembered for her bright blue eyes and a beautiful smile that could light up a room.
Left to cherish Angela’s memory are: husband of 12 years, Joey Prestage; sons, William and Tyler Janus (Mark Janus) and stepson, Taylor Prestage; mother, Andrea Gibson (Stephan) and father, Steven Sarver (Debbie); grandmother, Phyllis Sarver; siblings, Stephanie Floyd, Steven Sarver Jr. (Stephanie), Ashley Peña (Javier), Amy Gibson, Sara Schmidt (John), and Spencer Sarver; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and her loving dog Peanut.
Angela was preceded in death by grandparents, Doyle Sarver, Roy and Evalyn Peterson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins await her as well.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at The Gathering Place Moody Chapel (820 Church Street, Moody, Alabama) from 4:30-6 p.m. A celebration of life for Angela will follow at 6 p.m. Pastor Matt Scott officiating.

Angela requests that everyone know how blessed and grateful she was to have her sister Amy Gibson and her fiancé Zac McGinnis assist her during her battle with cancer. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Beck and the compassionate staff of third floor main at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
