Alvie Lee Bishop

Alvie Lee Bishop, 91 of Maytown, Alabama passed away December 20, 2023. Alvie served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. After coming home, he began working in the plumbing business, where he retired in 1998 after being in this profession as a partner at Acton Plumbing for 41 years. He loved his family and was dedicated to being a wonderful loving husband and the most amazing father to his children. Alvie enjoyed working in his garden, but more than that, he was probably one of the biggest Alabama fans. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Bishop; father, Alton Bishop; mother Ethel Lee Bishop; sister Betty Dorsett; brothers AJ Bishop; Bud Bishop. Alvie is survived by son, Gary Bishop(Karen); daughters, Carol Perkins; Sherry Hosmer(Bud); Donna Sartain(Scott); Deanna Morgan(Ronnie); brother, Raymond Bishop(Nan); 15 wonderful grandchildren and 24 blessings he calls his great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, 9:30AM-11:00AM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with graveside service beginning at 11:00AM in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
