William Bennett Leon Jr.

William Bennett Leon, Jr., 84 of Pelham, Alabama passed away May 27, 2022. . Bill was an excellent musician, playing trumpet all of his life in orchestras and back up groups for various artists in several places as well as leading two groups in later years. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alma Leon. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Leon; daughters, Amy Alice Leon, Melanie Leon; grandson, Ethan Lenier; sister, Sara Robinson. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM at Glen Iris Baptist Church, 1137 10th Pl S, Birmingham, Alabama 35205. Burial will follow at Patterson-Forest Grove Memorial Gardens, 1498 5th Ave, Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Pastor Chris Lamb officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to WGIB in care of Glen Iris Baptist Church.
