Julie R. Maddox

Julie R. Maddox, of Pleasant Grove, AL, passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 70. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove. She was a Coordinator with FFLA and her students successfully competed all over the state of Alabama. She was a phenomenal cook and seamstress. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Dean Richard and sister, Jill Saugusa. She is survived by her husband, James Michael Maddox; son, Hunter Maddox (Amanda); daughters, Leslie Collier (Lee) and Laney Savage (Wes); grandchildren, Landon Collier, Lana Katherine Collier, Elijah Luke Savage, Lemmy Rae Maddox; sister, Leigh Caglarsu (Fevzi); mother-in-law, Rae "MawMaw" Maddox; furry friend, Maddie; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 12:00 PM in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Wes Savage officiating.
