While we are mourning the loss of Bro Edwards, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil. Out there, there is someone who needs Bro Ray more than us. We had always known he was an Angel. He will be looking down upon you, for he will always be with you in your hearts, and thru your heart he will be alive in you always. May he rest in peace. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

We loved Bro. Ray and give thanks for his ministry. We will always remember his gentle spirit and his passion for preaching.
He was part of Lisa's life from the beginning celebrating her baptism, praying with her as she confirmed that by acknowledging Christ as Savior and joining the Hopewell Church, participating in her father's ordination service and then her own ordination service. A father in ministry to our family. Prayers to his beautiful family

Words are not enough to express the magnitude of influence Brother Ray (and Billie, as well) had on my life and Christian character development, beginning as early as age 5, and continuing throughout my teenage years into adulthood. I thank the Lord for placing me in the time and place to be blessed by him and his ministry at Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His gifts of preaching and teaching and his steadfast love for the Lord and each of us, continues to produce an immeasurable harvest for eternity! My heart aches thinking of how he'll be missed, but rejoices imagining him meeting Jesus face to face! My love to all of you, Billie, Mark, Denise, Phillip, and your families. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
