Billy Jack "Appleknocker" Tindle

Deceased: 10/28/13

Passed away on October 28, 2013 at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his parents; Bill and Katie Tindle, his brothers; Bobby Dean and Melvin Tindle. He is survived by his wife; Shelby Tindle, sons; Steven Tindle and Johnny Tindle. Daughters; Mary Ruth Barnett and Cathy Tindle Craig. Sister; Brenda Fouche. Brothers; Jerry Tindle, Don Tindle, Randy Tindle and Tim Tindle. 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of I.A.M. local 359. He dedicated his life to advancing the labor movement and to community service. Funeral service will be on Friday Nov. 1 at 1:00 P.M. with a visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00. Both will be at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, with Burial in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. Nolan Gross and Bro. Tim Tindle officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Pine Ridge Baptist Church building fund.

Everyone who ever met Billy Tindle loved him. He was one of the finest men that I have ever known. Labor has lost a true friend, he worked tirelessly for us all. Rest in peace my brother. God bless your sweet family.
