Willie Frank Vann, Sr.
Willie Frank Vann, Sr., known as "Frank," was born May 29, 1932, in Fairfield, Alabama, and was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield. He graduated from Fairfield Industrial High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and attended Bessemer Technical Vocational School. He retired from Pullman Standard Plant. Frank volunteered for Veterans Administration Hospital, was a member of the F. & A. Masons, and the Knights of Peter Claver, Council 140.Frank leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Leona Vann, as well as five children to cherish him: Delois (Teodros) Medhin, Willie Frank (Renee) Vann Jr., Lorraine (Charles) Burse, Calvin (Felicia) Vann, and Angela Vann. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and eight siblings, as well numerous family members and dear friends. Visitation will he held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, November 7, 2012, 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held November 8, 2012, 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield, Alabama, with burial at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
