Donald L. West
passed away Sept. 14, 2012. He was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Dec. 5, 1942. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Staff Sgt. Mr. West worked for many years as a computer programmer and analyst. He was married for 40 years to Diane Taylor West of Fairfield. His friends called him Don. He was a kind, Christian man known for his eloquence in saying Grace and his very dry sense of humor. In his spare time he enjoyed playing classical guitar, singing, and most of all, spending time with his wife and family, which included his dogs Buddy, Inga and Max, whom he considered his children. He is survived by his wife Diane, sisters Marsha Lee, Julie Lee and her husband Terry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Hellon West. Visitation is at 10 am Tuesday, September 18th at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with a graveside service at 11 am at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
