Mahlon Edwin "Boots" Mosley, Sr.
of Maytown, Alabama passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at the age of 90. He was a current member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a past member of Martin Memorial United Methodist Church in Wylam. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 38 years of service. He always had a garden and shared the produce with friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Agnes Mosley; two sons, Mahlon "Tad" Mosley, Jr., and Gibson "Gibby" Mosley; sister, Esther Otwell of Pleasant Grove, Alabama; three grandchildren, Lori Echols (Wayne), Leslyn Campbell (Brian), Trey Mosley (Stacy); four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brady, Jarrett and Kaitlyn. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Rev. John Gates and Rev. Jerry Hooper officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
