age 88, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on August 4, 2010.He graduated from Dora High School in 1940 and then served in World War II as a member of the United States Navy Amphibious Assault Unit. He trained boat crews for 2 years before serving in the battle of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war he graduated from the University of Alabama as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Fraternity. After receiving a Master degree from Georgia State University he worked for the US Goverment Department of Defense. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon W. Crocker, James Arthur Crocker, Claude Crocker. Survivors: son, Don Crocker (Diane Rosser); sister, Frances Key (Bill); grandchildren, Carey Klopf (Ken), Hannah Alibrahim. Funeral services will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. with burial in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
