Doris Lounette Floyd Bousack Ethridge

Deceased: 08/16/16

Doris passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the age of 82. She was an active member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she loved The Friendship Class,her Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Square Hoppers Square Dance Club, The Lloyd Noland Auxiliary and the Sore Thumb Gardening Club. Doris was also a member of the 1952 graduating class of Hueytown High School. Doris was a kind, gentile, loving and merciful person. She raised three young children alone after the death of her first husband in 1970. She loved God and lived in peace with everyone. Many loved ones welcomed Doris into heaven. She was surrounded by her three daughters as she took her last breaths. She was dearly loved. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Drs. Michael Crane and Jim Lindsey at Princeton Hospital for their loving and expert care for many years. And to the special staff at Self Health Care and Rehab along with Alacare Hospice. She is preceded in death by her late husband; John Louis Bousack and husband Milton W. Ethridge. Parents; Robert and Ethel Quinn Floyd. Survivors include her son; Bobby Ethridge (Joy) . Daughters; Karen Ramsey (Jim), Melissa Bousack, Melanie Addy (Kenny), Sherry Sims (Clarence) and Carol Sue Stinnett (Charles). A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. By her brother; Bobby N. Floyd (Janice). Former son-in-law Steve Wells and special friends Melinda Robbins, Connie Dabbs and Sarah Leath Ferguson. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, August 19 at 10:00 AM with a time of visitation on Thursday evening, 6:00 - 8:00 also at the church. Burial will be at Oakland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Josh Cook, Rev. Dan Ireland and Rev. Ray Glover officiating.
