Geraldine "Jerri" McCulley Thrasher
73, of Warrior passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 25, 2016 after a long battle with COPD. She was born on October 6, 1942 to Elsie and Bo McCulley. Jerri, as she was referred to by friends and family, grew up in West Blocton, AL with her two sisters, Shirley Corbell and Betty Sue McDaniels (deceased). After marrying William Charles Thrasher, Sr. on March 17, 1961, Jerri and Billy lived a contented and peaceful life of almost 55 years together. In January of 1970, Jerri gave birth to the first of their two children; William Charles Thrasher, Jr followed three years later by the birth of her daughter, Allyson Rhea Thrasher in March of 1973. Jerri was a loving and devoted housewife and mother who was also a self-educated woman that enjoyed participating in and learning new skills with her children and for that reason took dance with Allyson and took karate with both Billy and Allyson, as well as being a substitute teacher before going to work for Golden Flake from which she later retired. Jerri is survived by her husband, William Charles, Sr.; son, William Charles, Jr.; daughter Allyson; three grandsons, William Charles, III, Christopher and Dillon and three great grandchildren, Sophia, Lilly and Logan. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with burial in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

So sorry for your loss. May God keep you in his loving arms. I know Jerri will be sadly missed! I am so sorry that I am unable to make it to The funeral today. My sister & myself plan to visit Jerri's grave site in March & take flowers. Love, Charlotte (Jerri's 1st cousin.)
