James "Jimmy" E. Storey
James E. “Jimmy”Storey, 73, passed away on December 29, 2015. For the past 15 years, he was a resident of Double Springs Nursing Home. Prior to that time, he resided in Wylam, Alabama.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Betty Jones Storey Davis and Edward Storey, his sister Judy Fay Storey Weaver and his nephew Eddie Weaver.
He is survived by his Uncle Denis Jones, brother-in-law James Clifford Weaver, nephews Tom and Ralph Weaver, grand nephews Tim, Paul and David Weaver and William Simpson, and niece Rebecca Weaver, and numerous cousins.
During his lifetime, he was involved with activities at the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham and other organizations for the handicapped which made his life more enjoyable.
Funeral service will be held on Monday January 4, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home with Rev. B. B. Alexander officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.

My cousin Jimmy always brought me to my knees with his strong grip. Then he would smile and say he was sorry and show me his gripper exerciser that made him so strong.
