Cleon D. Spain
age 77, of Pleasant Grove, AL. passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. Mr. Spain was retired from US Steel after 42 years of service. He loved going to the Warrior River, riding on the pontoon boat and hosting parties at his house for his friends and family. He was also an Auburn football fan. He is preceded in death by his parents; Edgar and Dessie Huey Spain. His Brother; Charles Spain and former wife; Claudette Martin Spain. He is survived by his wife; Glenda Dillashaw Spain. Sons; Michael Spain and Stephen Stewart. Siblings; Jean Hogue (Michael), Gerald Spain, Peggy Patrick (Ovid), Linda Aaron (Larry) and Nancy Shirley (Dave). Step children; Gina Dillashaw (Michael Farley), whom he thought of as a daughter and their daughter, Nora, who loved her PawPaw. Justin Dillashaw, Glen Winnett (Angela Snyder) and their daughter Lydia. Host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove on Monday, October. 26, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.. The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015, 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Crantford Hicks officiating. Burial will be at Village Falls Cemetery. The family would like to send a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice staff, nurses and aids for their outstanding care that was given to Mr. Spain.
